Hello! I’m Jennifer
Relationships are our life source. The quality of our relationships directly impacts the quality of our lives. When our relationships feel off, we feel off. I help individuals and couples identify the “hot spots” in their relationships that can be damaging. You might be struggling with never-ending yelling and screaming matches, constant silent treatment that can last hours or even days, unnecessary overreactions, which can impact the connection, intimacy and trust. These hot spots can leave you feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and empty. When you start to lose faith or can’t find hope, I can help. I will create a warm and safe space where you can share your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Through our work together, I will help you identify negative patterns, provide you with the tools that are individualized for your needs and help you create stronger communication, a deepened sense of connection and bring an overall feeling of peace and happiness back in your life and in your relationship.
I provide research- based methods and techniques that are individualized and go beyond traditional “talk therapy” . You’re struggling, you’re in pain and I’m here to help!
I am trained in Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Gottman’s Affair Recovery. These methods allow couples to address long standing relationship issues that sabotage feelings of closeness and understanding of your partner. Oftentimes, couples have the same argument over and over again eroding their friendship and intimacy. Together, we will use the Gottman tools to strengthen the bonds of your relationship, learn ways to find meaningful compromise and bring that spark back into your relationship.
Trust is vital to any healthy relationship. After a betrayal, you may feel like your world has been shattered and wondering if trust is possible. Utilizing the Gottman Affair Recovery tools, we can bring hope and healing into the relationship. With time and the right tools, you can have peace, balance and meaning in your life and relationship again.
I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. This specialty can be used to address past life traumas that are causing present day difficulties, such as intense feelings of nervousness, racing thoughts, low energy and feelings of panic. Just like a doctor would clean out an infected wound, we would work together to address and heal wounds from your past that are keeping you from creating the life and relationships you deserve.
Having trained in all of these evidenced based methods, I help my clients manage conflict, create deeper connection and intimacy, and continue to help you grow as a couple and as individuals. Most importantly, know there’s hope for a different tomorrow. With your willingness to put in the work, I will be there to guide you through and assist you in achieving your goals.
I earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2004, from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 2001. I am an active member of the EMDRIA association.
I have lived in South Florida my whole life. I love the outdoors and; traveling is one of my biggest passions. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am also passionate about incorporating self-care into my routines, which includes yoga, meditation, and physical activity. Self-care is vital in creating peace and balance in our lives.
One of the bravest acts is seeking help along our journey. It would be my pleasure to help you create a fulfilling relationship and feelings of happiness and peace. Call or email today for a complimentary consultation.
